Anaerobic
Digesters for Dairy Farms. ABEN Bull. 458
This publication is based on engineering principles, research, and the
results of a three-year study of anaerobic digesters operating on three
dairy farms in New York State. It examines the fundamentals of anaerobic
digestion (how digesters work, types of systems), digester design and
construction, gas utilization, gas storage, safety, and management. One
section contains three worksheets to help match a biogas system to a
particular farm.
