PROJECT SUMMARY
Agriculture in New York State must be profitable while improving its environmental impact in order to be sustainable. The New York State Energy Research Development Authority (NYSERDA) has funded a number of on-farm projects demonstrating technologies that can help farmers meet these needs. It is vital that the results of these projects get to farmers and their advisors to reduce energy costs, increase profitability, and improve environmental impacts.
This project will form a Project Advisory Group (PAG) of stakeholders to prioritize specific activities that will combine information from NYSERDA projects with other sources to effectively transfer these technologies to the agricultural community. This project will analyze data on economics, mass and nutrient flows, and environmental impacts, develop informational materials, and deliver them through a partnership with existing organizations.
