  • US Environmental Protection Agency: The AgSTAR Program
    The AgSTAR Program is a voluntary effort jointly sponsored by the US-EPA, the US Dept. of Agriculture, and the US-DOE. The program encourages the use of methane recovery (biogas) technologies at confined animal feeding operations (CAFOs) that manage manure as liquids or slurries.

    AAFC was founded as part of a Canadian initiative to develop agriculture and agri-food policy to lay a foundation for success in the agricultural sector. "Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada provides information, research and technology, and policies and programs to achieve security of the food system, health of the environment and innovation for growth." ManureNet is a national information resource and coordination center for the Manure/Nutrient Management Issue.
