Pre-Sidedress Nitrate Test (PSNT)

The PSNT is used to optimize the use of Nitrogen on corn silage or grain in order to produce maximum economic yields. Soil sampling must reach a depth of 12 inches, and must be turned in to a lab ASAP for accurate results. The PSNT is a test that has a fast turnaround time, because recommendations must be implemented when the corn is between 6-12 inches tall.
